Our HQ is based in Noosa and we offer free and secure parking for our guests with cars/campervans/bikes for the duration of your time on K’gari – Fraser Island. Noosa is only a 1.5 hour drive North of Brisbane City too so super easy.
If you are coming from North Queensland, then Rainbow Beach is the nearest point to join us on tour. There is free parking on the streets near the Rainbow Beach Shell Petrol station.
GETTING TO FRASER ISLAND BY BUS
Greyhound and Oz Experience operate daily buses up and down the east coast of Australia. If you are travelling by bus to Noosa or Rainbow Beach you may like to make the most of our Scenic Highway and get picked up in Noosa and dropped off Rainbow Beach, if you’re travelling North, or vice versa if travelling South. This can help save you some time and milage on your bus ticket too by letting us help you out a bit.
GETTING TO FRASER ISLAND BY TRAIN
Queensland Rail is your only option when it comes to getting around by train and Cooroy is the closest train station to Noosa which is about 20 minutes by taxi/uber or you can catch a bus which is a much cheaper option of course.
GETTING TO FRASER ISLAND BY AIR
The best airports to fly into is the Sunshine Coast Airport in Maroochydore, with regular shuttles to Noosa. Brisbane airport is only a 2 hour bus journey away, with regular shuttle buses connecting the airport and Noosa. There is no airport in Rainbow Beach.
CATCHING THE FERRY TO FRASER ISLAND
When you book a Fraser Island tour with us your ferry transfers are all included. We board the Manta Ray ferry from Inskip Point in Rainbow Beach to Hook Point on the southern tip of the island.
WANT TO COME FROM HERVEY BAY
Sadly non of our tours depart from Hervey Bay anymore though there are plenty of other tour operators in the bay but if you are looking at booking with us there are great bus connection from Rainbow Beach to Hervey Bay with Greyhound.
