Noosa is the place to be if you want sun, sea and sand but there is heaps more to this little pocket of paradise than world famous beaches and fabulous coastal views.
Abseil down the breathtaking Mt Timbeerwah, kayak the stunning Noosa Everglades and do it all with these local legends!
Kanu Kapers Australia
Or the lavender ladies as we affectionately call this team of loveable legends. Founded by Vivianne, a true legend in her own right this team of super passionate kayakers will guide you through the amazing Noosa Everglades.
The Noosa River starts in Wahpoonga Range near Mount Elliot in the coastal Great Sandy National Park which Fraser Island is part part of, it then meanders south through a lakes district until it meets the ocean. Now be warned, the Noosa River is not the Everglades which is sadly what some travel agents sell, you need to go much further up the river to truly experience the Noosa Everglades.
Known locally as the mirror river and it’s easy to see why this is when you travel up stream. Navigate your way through the lily pads and explore the true everglades with Kanu Kapers.
Grab Rock – Mt Timbeerwah
The Grab Rock staff have a love affair with this Mountain and its easy to see why, with 360 degree views over Noosa, the Sunshine Coast and the Cooloola National Parks it’s one of the coast’s best kept secrets. Mount Tinbeerwah was born around 27 million years ago through volcanic activity and on a super clear day you can see all the way down as far as Byron Bay in NSW! The Glass House Mountains and Springbrook National parks behind the Goldcoast are also regions born from this time of fire and creation.
This is a great way to spend an afternoon in Noosa and the best spot to see an epic sunset!
